Investment plan builder
Let's build your investment portfolio.
Start with how much you want to invest each year. Back the opportunities you believe in, and add a systematic Portfolio Builder allocation if you want broader exposure.
Step 1
£
Your intended annual investment amount, excluding fees. Any amount from £5,000 works, and you can review your plan as your circumstances change.
Step 2
Back your convictions. Build systematic exposure.
We suggest combining both: a Halo Portfolio Builder allocation gives you systematic exposure to every company NoBa and the club back, while Halo Select leaves room for your personal convictions.
Halo Select£10,000Your intended allocation for individual investments or topping up companies you particularly believe in. An intention, not an obligation. No upper limit.
Halo Portfolio Builder£15,000Invested systematically alongside NoBa and the Halo club's selections. Participate as much or as little as you like.
Portfolio Builder £10,000£25,000
Step 3
Your Halo membership
Your membership is linked to your planned level of investment. Engage is designed for those beginning their angel investing journey, while Influence is our most popular tier for regular investors. Impact offers further benefits for investors seeking to deploy at scale.
We suggest a membership based on your plan, but you can choose any eligible tier. Upgrading later costs the difference between joining fees. When investment capacity is limited, higher tiers receive priority allocation, subject to the membership terms.
We believe that diversity among investors helps drive diversity among the founders and ideas we back. That's why we actively encourage more women to become angel investors through Halo, offering complimentary EmpowerHER membership to every woman investor. EmpowerHER is a community built on genuine connection, shared opportunities and women supporting one another to grow, thrive and shape their own futures.

Important information. Illustrations are hypothetical and are not forecasts of investment performance. Early-stage investments are high risk, illiquid and may result in a total loss of invested capital. Targets and illustrative scenarios do not guarantee future results.
Some investments may fail entirely.
You may not be able to sell your shares when you wish.
Returns may take many years to materialise, if at all.
The 5× illustrative blended portfolio target and the exceptional winner examples are not verified achieved returns.
Investors must meet the relevant eligibility and onboarding requirements.
How the illustration works. Three annual investments are made at years 0, 1 and 2, each held for five years and realised at years 5, 6 and 7. Each multiple is a simplified, uniform blended return across the whole plan and makes no assumption about which individual holdings succeed or fail. Success fees are estimated per investment (20% above the tier hurdle, compounded over the holding period), not on the blended result, and remain provisional until the contractual calculation is verified. NoBa fees combine arrangement fees and advisory fees including VAT; advisory is prepaid according to the tier, with the remainder paid annually through the holding period. Arrangement fee VAT treatment is to be confirmed. Joining and platform fees are membership costs and are not included. Indicative IRR is calculated from these year-by-year cash flows.
Tax assumptions. 30% EIS income tax relief requires sufficient UK income tax liability and qualifying investments, and is treated as received in each investment year. 40% loss relief assumes a higher-rate taxpayer and is calculated on the loss after deducting EIS income tax relief. It is shown only for explicitly illustrated losses, which here means the 0× scenario. That case assumes the required claim and a disposal or negligible-value event, with relief timing simplified to the exit year. In practice, loss relief may be available on eligible individual losing holdings even when a portfolio is profitable overall; the positive scenarios do not model this. Actual timing of tax refunds can differ. Gains on qualifying EIS shares are assumed free of CGT, subject to conditions. Relief may be withdrawn if conditions stop being met. This page does not consider SEIS or capital gains deferral, and tax relief is not investment performance.
